As high school students...
you may be planning to continue your education at a 2-year college, a 4-year university, or maybe a vocational school. The credit union can help to grow your money, develop a budget, or apply for loans, but we also want to make sure that you have connections to many other informative and useful resources. The Link below is to the U.S. Department of Education’s Budget Calculator. It was designed to help you estimate your expenses and total available income for your next phase of education. The budget calculator lists most of the important expenses and resources: tuition, books, and scholarships. You can also access other valuable tools and information, including links to other financial aid and college planning resources.
U.S. Department of Education's Budget Calculator
We will be working to make your dedicated area of the credit union website a place you’ll want to visit. If there is a specific topic that you want to learn about - such as setting up a budget, the best strategies for building your wealth, how to read a credit report, protecting your credit, understanding how loans and credit cards work or protecting yourself from identity theft or fraud - please let us know by sending an email to: shalinak@calpacfcu.org. Include Fusion Topics in the subject line of your email.
Are you a creative talent?
Do you enjoy researching or writing articles for your student newspaper?
Do you have your own blog?
Would you be interested in joining a credit union team of students to produce articles
for the Quarterly Fusion Newsletter or to be featured on our website?
We would like to include a wide variety of topics, from your best recommendations for bargains on shopping, to the websites you recommend for job hunting or college planning. We are hoping to spotlight the positive things being done by youth in our community. If you’re interested in being a contributing writer/reporter/photographer, please send an email to: shalinak@calpacfcu.org. Make sure to use Fusion Writer/Reporter in the subject line of your email.
